Begin on 2014 as Jokowi elected to be the president of Indonesia. His proposes a program called "NAWA CITA". This program leads all of the improvements happened in Indonesia. The word Nawa Cita taken from Sanskrit (Bahasa Sansekerta), 'Nawa' means nine and 'Cita' means hope, agenda, and wish. Making the program real Jokowi prioritizing several industries to gain economics improvement which are food, energy, maritime, tourism, and last but not least industrial and special economic zone.

Indonesia tourism industry growing incredibly! Last year (2016) the number of arriving international tourist reached 11.5 million people, contributing up to 4% to the GDP.
Increasing the number of international tourists is a big deal. Helped by the Minister of Tourism, Arief Yahya, Jokowi's plan turn out to be realized in step by step. Arief Yahya set the target of 15 million international tourists for 2017 and 19 million international tourists on 2019. The target number seems to be very optimistic, but he said the calculation was made based on last year tourism growth which is 10%.

Realizing that the target number is so great that we can't achieved by only relying to our "Amazing" Bali Island, The Minister of Tourism wants to develop another potential places as a tourism destination. Among the potential destination in Indonesia, there are 10 destinations chosen to be the priority destination to develop. The 10 priority destination was called as 'Bali Baru' or 'New Bali'. The word Bali was taken as Bali has known by people around the world for its beauty, and Indonesia wants to introduce the 10 new destination which also as beautiful as Bali.
